Hoosiers Rally for Health Care Freedom and State Rights in Indianapolis on October 16, 2010
Indianapolis, Indiana - Thousands of tea party patriots from across the state are expected to converge on Indianapolis on October 16, 2010, for the largest Indiana tea party rally against Obamacare and for state rights.
The FreedomMakers Coalition of Indiana, www.fmcoin.org, announced plans to host a rally in downtown Indianapolis from 12 noon - 3:30 p.m. at the University Park. The event is to protest the federal Health Care Reform Act that was signed into law on March 23, 2010 by President Obama. The pre-election rally is to remind state politicians that they have a responsibility to their constituents to interpose against unconstitutional federal laws.
"We believe that it is our state legislator's duty," said DK Smith, event organizer, "to interpose on our behalf and shield Hoosiers from this unconstitutional mandate. Our rally will demonstrate to Indiana state politicians that voters take this issue seriously and demand that our representatives stop Obamacare at the state borders through interposition." Smith said she is expecting a big crowd due to the resurgence of state rights, constitutional education and the unpopularity of the health care reform law.
The "Stand Up Indiana - Stop Obamacare" Rally will feature state right advocates, interposition and nullification experts that will address the crowd in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, October 16th. "FreedomMaker Coalition is excited to announce dynamic speakers such as Michael Boldin, the founder of The Tenth Amendment Center, former congressional candidate Kristi Risk, Thomas Weddle from RestoreGovernment, Pastor John B. Lowe of New Life Church, speakers from iCaucus and FairTax, the co-founder of IFIRE, and the 2010 Activist of the Year, Emery McClendon." Smith is a co-chair committee member of FreedomMaker Coalition of Indiana, a non-profit organization dedicated to working with individual Indiana tea parties and 912 groups to promote tea party goals and 912 project principles within our state.
